Theme:
The term “Harvest Moon” is referred to as a full, bright moon that occurs closest to the start of Autum.  The history of the name 'Harvest Moon" dates back to before electricity providing ample moonlight in the early evening for farmers harvesting summer crops. The harvest moon is also considered to have spiritual meaning.  Whether glowing across an open field or shimmering above the ocean, the harvest moon puts on a dazzling show that never disappoints. RAL invites its artist members to submit work interpreting their vision of this special time of year.
